There must be hundreds of these albums from round the world! This list is still incomplete. If you have any entries to add to the list or additions/corrections to existing entries, please let me know! Please note I cannot value your Dylan rarities - see the Mission page for reasons why. Contact the dealers on my Trading page for assistance!

Revised 23 March, 2017.

This is a separate multi-year list by release date of commercially-released Various Artist stereo compilation albums released between 1970 and 1979 that have been referred to me but do not qualify for my Searching For A Gem list because they contain only Bob Dylan performances which are available on officially released Dylan albums. Nevertheless, their interest value or scarcity means they're worth listing here - as far as I know some are not included on any other Internet site. All promo-only Various Artist Compilation albums and Radio Station Albums with Dylan tracks are now here.

Unless they contain rare tracks, Radio Station Albums are all listed here: I haven't allocated R- numbers to slightly faded Dylan tracks or very short excerpts from Dylan album tracks that occur on radio station discs. Tracks on radio station discs are often faded or talked over. Because every occurrence is unique I don't give these R-numbers either.

To eliminate cross-references there are now no links to other pages in this list, please use the links at the top and bottom of the page.

CBS/Supraphon 013 0841/42 (Czechoslovakia) - box spine scan by Ronald Born

This box was made by Supraphon licensed by CBS as a Record Club edition (Gramofonovy Klub) This is a various artists compilation with tracks selected by Miloslav Langer. There are only four artists, one per record side: Side 1 - Johnny Cash; Side 2 - Johnny Horton; Side 3 - Marty Robbins; Side 4 - Lester Flatt, Earl Scruggs and The Foggy Mountain Boys. Side 1 includes Girl From The North Country from Nashville Skyline. The box is joined at the spine. The front has pictures of the artists with Supraphon and Gramofonovy Klub logos; the spine has the title and catalogue number. The rear of the box is plain white.

The box includes a 24-page booklet with photos and information in Czech about the artists. The front of the booklet includes the tracklist with composers and recording dates: Girl From The North Country is listed as "s B. Dylanem; 17. unóra 1969 - Nashville [with B. Dylan; 17 of February, 1969 - Nashville]". The rear of the booklet includes discographies of the artists, amazingly listed in alphabetical order: Nashville Skyline is wrongly listed as a Johnny Cash and Bob Dylan album! The record labels are dark blue with the same design as those of the Record Club edition of Songy Boba Dylana (1968, see Mono Dylan-Only Compilation Albums 1960s).

There was also a mono release with the same catalogue number, CBS/Supraphon 013 0841/42, see Mono Album Releases (Various Artists Compilations) 1970s for more scans. The box and booklet were exactly the same.

Thanks to Manuel García Jara and Ronald Born for information and scans.

Various Artists - "24 Millionen Erfolge [24 Million Sellers]" - compilation stereo vinyl 2LP set, CBS 66238 (West Germany), 1970; CBS 66238 (NL for West Germany), 1981; "Golden Highlights: 24 Millionen Evergreens" - compilation vinyl 2LP set, CBS 66238 (NL for Austria), 1980:
With the generic title "Million Sellers" many companies have published compilations with tracks taken from albums that have sold a million copies. "Erfolge" in German means "Successes" but Manuel García Jara suggests "Sellers" to conform with the versions of this compilation released in Spain below with the title 12 Million Sellers, the original English title. Both compilations are identical: they have the same tracklist, even in the same order. The three German double albums are the equivalent to six Spanish single albums. The tracklist of record two of this German compilation is identical to the Spanish album 12 Million Sellers Vol. 1, with Blowin' In The Wind as track 4, Side 1, and record one of 24 Millionen Erfolge 3 is identical to "12 Million Sellers Vol 5", with Like A Rolling Stone as track 5, Side 1.

CBS 66238 (West Germany), 1970:

CBS 66238 (West Germany) - front of gatefold sleeve, scan by Manuel García Jara (1970 release)
This album has two alternate cover designs with the same catalogue number, the second design being the re-release in 1981 below. The 1970 set was made in West Germany but subsequent sets in this series were made in Holland after CBS LP production was transferred there.

Bob's contribution is Blowin' In The Wind, the album version from The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan. Other artists included are Peter Seeger, Simon and Garfunkel, Johnny Cash, Marty Robbins and Doris Day.

The records have orange CBS labels with the logo of the "GEMA" German copyright organisation as expected - compare with the 1981 release below which was made in Holland.

CBS 66238 (NL for Austria), 1980:

CBS 66238 (NL for Austria) - front scan by Manuel García Jara (1980 release - title Golden Highlights: 24 Millionen Evergreens)

This is again the first volume of the German series 24 Millionen Erfolge. This actually is a reissue made in Holland for the Austrian market and published in 1980, with completely different artwork and a new name, Golden Highlights: 24 Millionen Evergreens. The records were made in Holland and have “24 Millionen Erfolge” on the labels, the great-looking sleeve was printed in Austria by Hofmann Druck for CBS Schallplaten in Vienna. The album title is Golden Highlights: 24 Millionen Evergreens on the front sleeve, Golden Highlights: 24 Millionen Hits on the album spine, and 24 Millionen Erfolge on the record labels!

The records have orange/yellow CBS labels with "MADE IN HOLLAND" and the logo of the Dutch copyright organisation "BIEM/STEMRA" but also the logo of the German copyright organisation "GEMA" - compare with the 1970 release above which was made in Germany. The 1981 West German record labels below are exactly the same.

This is again the first volume of the German series 24 Millionen Erfolge. This actually is a reissue made in Holland for the German market and published in 1981, with completely different artwork. The image of Dylan used on the front at bottom right is from the Street-Legal sessions (1978). There is a price sticker on the front for DM 25.90 (€13.25).

The records are exactly the same as the Austrian 1980 Golden Highlights set, they have orange/yellow CBS labels with "MADE IN HOLLAND" and the logo of the Dutch copyright organisation "BIEM/STEMRA" but also the logo of the German copyright organisation "GEMA".

For the third volume of this set released in 1972, see below - the second volume did not include Dylan. The three volumes of the other German series, Das waren Hits [These Were Hits] (from 1972 onwards, see below), were reissued in the 1980s, but Manuel García Jara thinks Volumes 2 and 3 of 24 Millionen Erfolge were never reissued.

Various Artists - "12 Million Sellers Volumen 2: The Best Of The 60s, Vol. 2" - stereo vinyl LP release: CBS S 64031 (Spain), 1971; CD release: - CBS/Sony 476549 2 (Spain), 1994:

CBS S 64031 (Spain) - LP front scan by Manuel García Jara
This is Vol. 2 of a six album series (and identical to the second LP of the German 24 Millionen Erfolge [24 Million Sellers] 2LP compilation above). Bob's contribution is again Blowin' In The Wind, the album version from The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan. The song title is translated as "La Respuesta Esta En El Vento [The Answer Is In The Wind]". The record has orange CBS labels. The album was released on CD in 1994. The CD was made in Austria for the Spanish market and distributed from Holland. For Vol. 5 of this series, released on vinyl in 1972 and on CD in 1993, see below. It seems strange that this album should have been released on CD in Spain after Vol. 5, but the rear insert is clearly dated 1994, while the rear insert of Vol. 5 is dated 1993.

CBS S 67295 (NL for West Germany) - picture from Wim van der Mark
Bob's contribution to this 2LP set is Like A Rolling Stone, the album version from Highway 61 Revisited, on Side 1. Other artists included are Pete Seeger, Simon and Garfunkel, Leonard Cohen, The Byrds and Donovan.

For the first volume of this set released in 1970 and made in Germany, see above. This set and the previous set, 24 Millionen Erfolge 2 [24 Million Sellers Vol. 2] (CBS S 66249, 1971), which did not include Dylan, were made after CBS LP production was transferred to Holland. Manuel García Jara's copy has a German "CBS STAR SERIE" front sticker with price DM 25,-. The records have orange CBS labels with the Dutch "STEMRA" copyright organisation logo.

12MillionSpFront.jpg (22053 bytes)
CBS S 65214 (Spain) - front scan by Hans Seegers (1972 LP release)

Bob's contribution to the 12 song album, fifth in the CBS Spanish 12 Million Sellers six album series, is Like A Rolling Stone from Highway 61 Revisited. This is again identical to the first LP in the German 2LP set 24 Millionen Erfolge 3 [24 Million Sellers Vol. 3 immediately above. The song title is translated as "Como Una Piedra Rodante". The record has orange CBS labels.

This set was released on CD in Spain in 1993. The CD was made in Austria for the Spanish market and distributed from Holland. For Vol. 2 in this series, released in Spain in 1971 on vinyl and in 1994 on CD, see above. It seems strange that this album should have been released on CD in Spain before Vol. 2 above, but the rear insert is clearly dated 1993, while the rear insert of Vol. 2 is dated 1994.

Bob's contribution to this rare album was I Want You from Blonde On Blonde.

BestNFF.jpg (37710 bytes)
Vanguard VSD 8003 (West Germany) - scan by Hans Seegers

This album was made in West Germany by TELDEC (Telefunken Decca Schallplatten GmbH) of Hamburg. There is no release date anywhere on sleeve or record labels, nor are any of the songs dated. Some Internet sources date this LP as 1965, but the early 1970s is more likely. It contains four tracks with Bob recorded live at the Newport Folk Festival, Newport, RI, 26 Jul 1963,  from the Vanguard albums Evening Concerts At Newport Vol. 1 and Newport Broadsides (Topical Songs) (for both see 1964).

Because these are rarities, full details are in 1970. There is also a variant called Golden Folk Festival - more details required!

Thanks to Hans Seegers for information and scans.

There was also a mono release, CBS 9.002, see Mono Album Releases (Various Artists Compilations) 1970s. Bob's contribution was Lay Lady Lay from Nashville Skyline - all the other song titles are translated into Spanish except this one!

This album has a lower catalogue number than Lay Lady Lay (CBS 19.045, the Argentinean release of Nashville Skyline, see International Albums (Regular), so must have been released slightly earlier. The record has orange CBS labels.

Thanks to Sergio Magnacca for information and photos. Thanks to Manuel García Jara for the scan of a West German release, CBS SPR 35, with the same title and artwork but which does not include the Dylan track.

It was one of the last CBS/Sony promo LPs to have plain orange labels before the switch to the orange/white promo labels such as on CBS/Sony Lite 91011 below. Unlike CBS/Sony Lite 91011 below, this release comes in a generic CBS/Sony promo sleeve with a cut-out centre. The text on the sleeve and the record labels is in Japanese only. The text on the sleeve has spaces for the year and month and "Highly Recommended Highlights Record (Popular)". In the green circle the text is "For demonstration in shops". At bottom of the label is "CBS" in English and "Sony" in Japanese.

The top line of the record label has the date "Showa 45" (1970) "5th month" (May). This album includes You're No Good from Bob Dylan (CBS/Sony SONP 50210), track 6 on Side 2. CBS/Sony SONP 50210 was the first release of this album in Japan in its original form - it had previously been released in Japan by CBS in 1966 as Bob Dylan Vol. 3 with different artwork and the tracks reordered. You're No Good by Jesse Fuller was incorrectly titled as "She's No Good" on the album front and rear sleeve and Side 1 record label, and is mistranslated into Japanese as "She's No Good" on the Side 1 record label here.

Hans Seegers informs me that the album was released in the UK and Holland with the same serial number, and the Dutch release was also distributed in West Germany and France, although they did have their own releases as shown. The picture on the gatefold sleeve (shown on its side) is a young Arnold Schwarzenegger! This is repeated on Side 1 of each of the UK records, which have the track listings for both Side 1 and Side 2 on Side 2. The Dutch record labels are designed more conventionally. Each of the UK records is in a CBS UK paper inner sleeve with the "Rock Buster" logo. The front shows albums with the theme "Heavy on CBS" (The Byrds, Janis Joplin, Blood Sweat & Tears, Soft Machine, etc.), The rear shows more albums with the theme "Sounds of the 70s on CBS" (Leonard Cohen, The Chambers Brothers, Bob Dylan, Simon & Garfunkel, Al Kooper, etc.). The rear inner sleeve shows the then CBS postal address of CBS Records, 28/30 Theobalds Road, London WC1.

The artwork of the West German release is again identical to the other editions above. The front has a CBS logo.  The inner gatefold sleeve has copyright text in German. Like other German compilations of this period (e.g. 1968's That's Underground, see International Compilations (Various Artists) 1960s), this set has coloured vinyl records. Record one of the first copy shown is violet and record two is orange (the scans make it look pink); Record one of the second copy shown has dark blue vinyl and record two has yellow vinyl. Manuel García Jara has a third copy with light blue and pink vinyl (not shown).

Various Artists - "The Music Company Greatest Hits: Superb Super Pop Party" - compilation stereo vinyl 2LP set, CBS 67217 (NL for France), 1971:
This 2LP compilation in the Superb Super Pop series in a gatefold sleeve was made in Holland specially for the French market. Note French text "Album 2 Disques" on the front, more French text on the rear, and the most important: discographies listed in the inner gatefold are French, not Dutch; the Dylan discography has the exclusive French releases En Roue Libre and Mr. Bob Dylan. The rear sleeve has "NL PRINTED IN HOLLAND" printed vertically as Dutch Dylan releases, and the orange CBS record labels also have "MADE IN HOLLAND".

CBS 67217 (NL) - front scan by Manuel García Jara
Bob's contribution, track 1 on Side 1, was an unusual choice which can hardly be described as a "Greatest Hit" - Days Of '49 from Self Portrait as the Rock Buster releases above, again credited to Frank Warner. This is not another version of Rock Buster: there are only two tracks repeated here from Rock Buster (Dylan & Miles Davis), the rest of the tracks are different.

This 10-track promo album was again released in Japan in 1972. Like the previous album, this is a typical Japanese promo release of the time, made to promote some contemporary albums, all of them released in 1971. Again this album has only a generic CBS/Sony 12" sleeve with a cut-out to show the record label, different from the design above. The Japanese music magazine advert is actually taken from page 82 of the "Time Passes Slowly" booklet with the De Luxe edition of The Bootleg Series, Vol. 10 - Another Self Portrait (1969-1971), Aug 2013.

Side 1 includes CBS artists and Side 2 includes Epic artists. Side 1 includes three tracks taken from the Nov 1971 2LP set Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits Vol. II (CBS/Sony SONP 50450-51): New Morning; When I Paint My Masterpiece (as CBS/Sony LITE 91033 above); I Shall Be Released. Normally, Japanese albums with international artists always have artist names and song titles in English and Japanese. But this album, except for the title in English, has the tracklist in Japanese only! However, the reference numbers on the labels are very helpful: the catalogue number SONP-50450-51 belongs to the first release of Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits Vol. II in Nov 1971 and "D-1", "D-4" and "D-5" identify the three Dylan songs as being from Side 4 of the album. Each song is listed on two lines: 1- Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits Vol. II, 2 - Song title / Bob Dylan as composer. The front of the Nov 1971 CBS/Sony Japan 7" stereo single with When I Paint My Masterpiece/I Shall Be Released (see International 7" & 12" Singles 1971) shows the Japanese characters for the song titles that help identify the same songs on this 1972 promo compilation.

The rest of the tracklist is:

SIDE A: (CBS Artists)
SOPC-57127 Imagine My Surprise (Dreams) - A1: Calico Baby, B2: Don't Cry My Lady
SONP-50452-3 Live Evil (Miles Davis) - A1: Sivad (Excerpt)

SIDE B: (Epic Artists)
EPIA-53029 There's A Riot Goin' On (Sly & The Family Stone) - A4: Family Affair, B6: Thank You For Talkin' Me Africa
EPIA-53030 Rough And Ready (The Jeff Back Group) - A1 Got The Feeling, B2: New Ways/Train Train

Bob's contribution to this retrospective compilation made in Holland for West Germany was Blowin' In The Wind, the standard version from The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan on Side 2.

For a West German single associated with this album, CBS  S 8349, released in 1972, 1975 and 1978, see US & International 7" Singles & EPs 1972.

The first Das waren Hits album, released at the same time, had Mr. Tambourine Man by The Byrds, but no Dylan performance. This album was re-released in 1982 as part of a 3LP set, Das waren Hits, also made in Holland for West Germany (see below).

The album was released in Hungary in 1982 by Pepita in association with CBS Records, with the new title of just Greatest Hits. The artwork was the same as the 1978 design of the West German single. For a Hungarian Pepita single with Changing Of The Guards/New Pony from Street-Legal with an edit of the A-side, see 1978.

Various Artists - "Stars For Jerusalem" - compilation stereo vinyl 2LP set, Columbia Special Products/Selection NU-428/P2 11790 (USA), 3 May 1973:

Columbia NU-428/Selection P2 11790 (USA) - picture from Wim van der Mark
(variant 1)

This 2LP set was produced for Selection by Columbia Special Products to mark the 25th anniversary of the founding of the modern state of Israel in 1948. Wim van der Mark gives the US catalogue number as Columbia Special Products AS 11790. Bob's contribution was Father Of Night from New Morning on Side 1.

Tim Dunn says there are two variants, with slightly different coloured sleeves:

  1. With a copyright notice "(C) Israel Ministry Of Tourism" at bottom right of the rear sleeve, plus "(P) Israel Ministry Of Tourism" at bottom left (as shown)
  2. With a copyright notice "(P) The Jerusalem Foundation, Inc." at bottom right of the rear sleeve, plus "(C) The Jerusalem Foundation, Inc." at bottom left (front only shown). This sleeve does not mention the Israel Ministry Of Tourism. There is also an added K-Tel logo on the front sleeve at top right.

Columbia NU-428/Selection P2 11790 (USA) - detail of outside of gatefold sleeve, scan by Kenneth Robson (variant 1 - "Israel Ministry Of Tourism")

The copyright registration in the 1973 US "CATALOG OF COPYRIGHT NOTICES" indicates that the Israel Ministry Of Tourism is incorrectly given as the "(P)" copyright claimant and the actual "(P)" holder is Columbia Broadcasting System, Inc., a.k.a. C.B.S., Inc. This implies the second sleeve is a corrected version of the first.

Thanks to Wim van der Mark, Kenneth Robson and Tim Dunn for information and scans.

CBS 66502/CBS 65697-65701 (France), 1973:

CBS 66502/CBS 65697-65701 (France) - box front scan by Manuel García Jara (1973 release)
This French box, released in 1973, includes 78 tracks from the Columbia/CBS catalogue. This compilation is a kind of musical journey from the 1920s to the 1960s (one record per decade), including all American musical genres (from Big Bands to Folk-Rock) and the most representative artists (from Robert Johnson to Johnny Winter). The box is in two parts joined by the spine. The rear is plain black. It includes a one-sided insert (to be glued to the inside of the box front) with the tracklist and also includes a 50-page 12" booklet with many pictures of the artists (see detail of page 48 with Bob). The front of the booklet is a monochrome version of the box front. The rear of the booklet is identical to the front plus printer's information ("Est-Typo Offset - Vincennes"). The Dylan contribution is North Country Blues from The Times They Are A-Changin' on Record 5, the disc dedicated to the 1960s. So far, this is the only various artists compilation listed that includes North Country Blues. Although the catalogue number of the box is "CBS 66502", each record has its own catalogue number ("CBS 65697/65698/65699/65700/65701") and each one has the subtitle "The 20's", "The 30's", etc. The tracks are numbered from 1 to 78 and Bob is track 68. The record labels are plain orange.

CBS 66502/CBS 65697-65701 (France) - box front scan by Manuel García Jara (1976 release)
This is again the same box with identical catalogue number and tracklist but, for some reason, it was reissued in 1976 with a different title and design. The box has now a very different front with a collage of the artists (see detail with Bob) but the rear is again plain black.

CBS 65701 (France) - Side 10 scan by Manuel García Jara (Record 5, Side 2, no Dylan, 1976 release)

The front of the booklet is again a monochrome version of the box front, with the new artwork. The rear of the booklet is now blank except for the printer's information, which is now "Imp. Chaumès - Vincennes". Apart from the booklet cover, all pages remain identical, so the above picture of Bob from page 48 is the same. The new design one-sided insert has the names of the artists but not the tracklist. The records again have their individual catalogue numbers and the tracks are again numbered from 1 to 78, with Bob again at 68. The record labels are now orange/yellow.

CBS CS-10.149 (Venezuela) - front picture from barraezo.blogspot.co.uk/
These compilations were very important in Latin American countries like Venezuela, because many albums (from where these tracks were taken) were never released there. For example Nashville Skyline and New Morning (see Vol. V below) were never released in Venezuela.

Bob's contribution to this compilation exclusive to Venezuela is Lay, Lady, Lay from Nashville Skyline. For Exitos De Ayer Vol. V [Hits Of Yesterday Vol. V], also from 1973, and Exitos De Ayer Vol. VII [Hits Of Yesterday Vol. VII] from 1976 with more Dylan tracks, see below. Exitos De Ayer Vol. VI [Hits Of Yesterday Vol. VI] from 1974 has no Dylan content.

CBS CS-10.156 (Venezuela) - front scan from Manuel García Jara
Bob's contribution to this compilation again exclusive to Venezuela is If Not For You from New Morning, listed as "Si No Fuera Por Ti", track 5 on Side 1.

Although the album was released in 1973, the copy shown must be a reissue because the record has orange/yellow CBS labels. There must be an original edition from 1973 with orange CBS labels. Hard Rain(1976) was released in Venezuela still with orange labels but Street-Legal (1978) had orange/yellow labels.

This copy is therefore a reissue from the late 1970s. The rear sleeve shows the fronts and tracklists of the five volumes of this series (including this one). As usual with Venezuelan records, the rear sleeve has the official price fixed by CBS printed at top right, but in this case there is also an official CBS sticker with a different price, 38 Bolívares, glued over the original 1973 price.

For Exitos De Ayer Vol. IV [Hits Of Yesterday Vol. IV], also from 1973 with another Dylan track, see above, For Exitos De Ayer Vol. VII [Hits Of Yesterday Vol. VII] from 1976 with another Dylan track, see below. Exitos De Ayer Vol. VI [Hits Of Yesterday Vol. VI] from 1974 has no Dylan content.

Various Artists - "10 Jahre CBS Schallplatten [10 Years Of CBS Records]" - promo stereo vinyl 4LP boxed set, CBS (no catalogue number) (West Germany), 1973:

Box front scan by Manuel García Jara
This promo 4LP boxed set was made in West Germany in 1973 to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of CBS Records in that country. Although commercial CBS albums sold in Germany after 1971 were imported from Holland, some promotional albums were still made there (e.g. the series Danke...). This is possibly the rarest of all those promo releases.

Box spine scan by Manuel García Jara

This is a special edition, limited to 500 copies, exclusively made for employees of CBS in West Germany. It's a very sumptuous item: it comes in a green box with a very soft texture. The box front has a golden record in relief with the title almost unreadable; this title is again printed on the spine. The box rear has the CBS logo at the bottom with the text "1963-73. 10 Jahre CBS Schallplatten Deutschland  [10 Years of CBS Records Germany] The Music People" and also "LIMITIERTE GESCHENKAUSGABE FÜR UNSERE MITARBEITER UND FREUNDE. 500 KASSETTEN "Limited Gift Edition for Our Employees and Friends. 500 Boxes").

The box includes a 32-page 12" booklet. The front has the CBS logo with the slogan "The Family Of Music" and the rear again has the CBS logo at the bottom, this time with the slogan "The Music People". The first page has notes in German and the remaining pages have beautiful black and white pictures of artists (one per page) in alphabetical order. Each record has its individual sleeve (not an inner sleeve) made of excellent cardboard, spine included. These sleeves have identical fronts with the title. The rear sleeves have the artists and song titles. The records have orange picture labels, not paper labels. There is no text in the label circumference. Records 1 and 2 (20 tracks) have the title Single Hits and include Mr. Tambourine Man covered by The Byrds (Seite 1, track 4). Records 3 and 4 (24 tracks) have the title Superstars and Record 3 includes Blowin' In The Wind from The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan (Seite 1, track 4).

The only fault with this box is the very scarce information. This is not a commercial release and there are no credits or information about composers, musicians, producers, year of release, timings, etc. There are even no song titles for the two Superstars records. it was necessary to play Seite 1 [Side 1] just to identify the Dylan track.

CBS/Sony YAPC 33 (Japan) - front scan by Manuel García Jara
This Japanese compilation comes in a generic CBS/Sony promo 12" card sleeve with a centre cut-out and two folded-over flaps on the rear. It does not really have a title, the best approximation is November 1973 New Songs Compilation. Thanks to Moise Potié for translating the title. The date is shown as "48 11", this is Showa 48, the 48th year of the reign of Emperor Hirohito, month 11, i.e. Nov 1973.

Although the text is in Japanese only, it is easy to identify the tracklist according to the catalogue number of each track: Side 1 consists of eight A-sides of singles from CBS/Sony, Epic and Bell Records including Knockin' On Heaven's Door from Pat Garrett & Billy The Kid, CBS/Sony SOPM 257 (Side 1, track 6); Side 2 includes seven tracks from the album Angel Clare by Art Garfunkel (CBS/Sony SOPM 75).

This 3LP set includes Lay Lady Lay from Nashville Skyline (Track 4, Side 2, Record 2). It was released by CBS Spain in 1974 to commemorate its fifth anniversary and was the first triple album released by CBS in Spain. As usual for Spanish compilations, it includes Spanish, Latin American and International artists. The records have plain orange CBS labels and came in plain white inner sleeves. The three records are in a card folder: the front is blue and grey with the number "5"; back of this folder has two flaps: the flap on the left has comments in Spanish (about Dylan it says "the genius of the legendary Dylan"), the flap on the right has the tracklist. This folder came in an outer cardboard sleeve in pink with a cut-out in front to show a record label; the rear is plain pink.

Bob's contribution on Side 2 is Man Gave Names To All The Animals from Slow Train Coming, a strange choice for a disco album! The track order is different on the rear sleeve and the record label, but the rear sleeve is correct.

Thanks to Ronald Born for information and scans.
