"Country Pie" - 7" mono single-sided acetate, B. Feldman & Co, London (no catalogue number) (UK), 1969:

Label scan by Arie de Reus
R-0751 Country Pie - different mix of track from Nashville Skyline

This single-sided mono acetate was made for publishing company B. Feldman & Co, 64 Dean Street, London, W1. The track plays at 1:33 whereas the album track from Nashville Skyline is 1:36 - this seems to be just a mastering speed variation. However, the mix is slightly different from the album track (and also presumably from the mono single version, B-side of Tonight I'll Be Staying Here With You) in that the piano is mixed lower and the guitar higher than on the album track. For the mono version of Nashville Skyline (reduction from stereo) and the mono single, see International Mono Releases.

Thanks to Jean-Pol Hiernaux for finding this on eBay and to Arie de Reus for the scan.

"Lay, Lady, Lay" - 7" mono single-sided acetate, B. Feldman & Co, London (no catalogue number) (UK), 1969:

Label scan by Arie de Reus
R-0759 Lay, Lady, Lay - different mix of track from Nashville Skyline

This second single-sided mono acetate was made for publishing company B. Feldman & Co, 64 Dean Street, London, W1. Again the mix is slightly different from the album track in that the piano is mixed lower and the guitar higher than on the album track. For the mono version of Nashville Skyline (reduction from stereo), see International Mono Releases.

Thanks to Arie de Reus for information and scan.

"Lay, Lady, Lay"/"Peggy Day" - 7" mono double-sided acetate, B. Feldman & Co, London (no catalogue number) (UK), 1969:

A-side scan from eBay
R-0759-2 Lay, Lady, Lay - different mix of track from Nashville Skyline

This double-sided mono acetate was also made for publishing company B. Feldman & Co, 64 Dean Street, London, W1.

Thanks to Gerd Rundel for finding this on eBay.

Side 1 in buff sleeve, scan by "Jack Frost"
R-0751-2 Country Pie - different mix of track from Nashville Skyline

R-0759-3 Lay, Lady, Lay - different mix of track from Nashville Skyline

This double-sided acetate of the complete album was also made for publishing company B. Feldman & Co, 64 Dean Street, London, W1.

Thanks to André Wilbers and "Jack Frost" for information and scans.

"Lay Lady Lay" - 7" mono EP, CBS EPC 978 (Mexico), 1969:
These Mexican EPs are now very rare!

CBS EPC 978 (Mexico) - front scan by Hans Seegers
This mono EP contains Lay, Lady, Lay; To Ramona; My Back Pages; It Ain't Me, Babe, from Nashville Skyline and Another Side Of Bob Dylan. Jim Siddy says all the tracks are faded out, which means they are all rarities!

The sleeve is folded, not sealed, and comes with the record inside a clear poly bag. The record has orange CBS labels with text that looks as if it has been added with a rubber stamp, as it's become smudged, especially on the B-side.

R-0475 Lay, Lady, Lay - 3:08 edit of album track from Nashville Skyline (3:17)
This edit also turns up on a CBS Angola 7" promo single, 1972

R-1010 To Ramona - 3:26 edit of album track from Another Side Of Bob Dylan (3:52)

R-1011 My Back Pages - 2:13 edit of album track from Another Side Of Bob Dylan (4:23)

R-1012 It Ain't Me, Babe - 2:12 edit of album track from Another Side Of Bob Dylan (3:34)

Thanks to Hans Seegers for information and scans and confirming this EP is definitely mono. Thanks to Jim Siddy for further information.

"Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits" - stereo vinyl LP, CBS/Sony SONX 60044 (Japan), Jun 1969, re-released 1975 (two variants):
This album had the same front sleeve as the US album, but a different rear sleeve and tracklist. It was previously incorrectly listed in 1967.

JGH1Front.jpg (19998 bytes)
CBS/Sony SONX 60044 (Japan) - front scan by Hans Seegers (both releases)

Side 1: Rainy Day Women #12 & 35; Blowin' In The Wind; The Times They Are A-Changin'; It Ain't Me, Babe: Love Minus Zero/No Limit

Side 2: Mr Tambourine Man; Subterranean Homesick Blues; I Want You; Positively 4th Street; Just Like A Woman; Highway 61 Revisited

R-0049 Positively 4th Street - 1965 mix - slightly longer at 4:12 as opposed to 3:56 on regular track, same as the version from 1965 Witmark tape and 1966 Columbia compilation album Disco Teen '66 - see comments on those pages (the US stereo album has a 1967 stereo mix)

CBS/Sony SONX 60044 (Japan) - rear scan by Les Kokay (first 1975 release with price ¥2,100)

Carsten Baumann informs me that he's checked the version on the 1966 album Disco Teen '66 (also on the 1965 Witmark tape, see 1965) against the version now included on the remastered Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits (US release), and they are the same. This would mean it replaces the single version which is now to be found on CD only on Biograph (it's also on the non-US release The Best Of Bob Dylan Vol. 2, see 2000). Thanks also to David Goldsmith for confirmation. This stereo version of R-0049 has ceased to be a rarity, and has been moved to the new Released Rarities page! The mono version of R-0049, R-0049M, remains a rarity and is still listed for 1965 and 1966. The version on the 2010 release The Best Of The Original Mono Recordings is only 3:51, see The Best Of The Original Mono Recordings (2010).

Full details of this album have now been moved to International Album Releases - Dylan-Only Compilations 1960s.

Thanks to Hans Seegers for information and scan.
