The Very Thought Of You was first released by Ray Noble and his Orchestra with Al Bowlly on vocals in 1934 (Victor 24657). It's since been recorded by many artists including Billie Holliday, Tony Bennett, Natalie Cole and Ricky Nelson.

This album, which also includes duets with Paul McCartney, Sting, Ariana Grande and Mariah Carey, is a follow up to Barbra's Sony Music TV album Partners, released in 2014 with no Dylan involvement. The 2025 CD release has a pink tray, the LP release comes in cream, blush or aqua vinyl as shown.
