Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits Vol. II
This page is part of a list of original releases by release date of international commercially-released regular stereo Dylan albums. They do not contain rarities or obscurities and are not eligible for the Searching For A Gem list. Nevertheless, their interest value or scarcity means they're worth listing here - as far as I know some are not included on any other Internet site. Promo releases of regular albums are now listed here and no longer in the former yearly Promo sections. For releases of this album in CBS/Columbia multi-packs, see International Album Releases (Regular) - Multi-Packs. |

Ian Woodward has a copy of a contemporary Columbia US LP with an insert headed "SQ - The Quadraphonic Record" promoting the Columbia SQ Quadraphonic System which includes a list of available Columbia Quadraphonic LPs and 8-track Quadraphonic tape cartridges. This includes Nashville Skyline, where a Quadraphonic release is known to exist, but also Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits Vol. 2, which to the best of my knowledge has never been available in Quadraphonic.
Vinyl and Tape Releases
"Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits Vol. II" - stereo vinyl 2LP set, Columbia KG 31120 (USA), 17 Nov 1971; Columbia PG 31120 (USA), mid-1970s, re-released late 1970s and mid/late 1980s:
Columbia KG 31120 (USA), acetate, 5 Nov 1971:
For 20 Years Of Hits 1951-1971, a Columbia US 9LP promo set from 1972 assembled by Jim Brown that includes Bob tracks, see International Album Releases (Various Artists Compilations) 1970s.
Columbia KG 31120 (USA), 17 Nov 1971:
Renaud Depierreux also has a promo copy with two timing strips on the front of the gatefold sleeve. The record labels have the new 1970s style with "Columbia" in a ring round the circumference/ They are completely different from the other two copies shown, with the album title on two lines instead of three, and the text in a different type face (variant 1). The records of this copy have stamped matrix numbers: Side 1 - P AL 31121-1C, Side 2 - P BL 31121-1C, Side 3 - P AL 31122-1C, Side 4 - P BL 31122-1C. There is also a handwritten "P" on each side.
Steven Fant's US copy has two stickers on the front of the shrink-wrap and the record. The record matrix numbers of his copy are: Side 1 - AL-31121-1B, Side 2 - BL-31121-1AE, Side 3 - AL-31122-1AA, Side 4 - BL-31122-1J. These labels have the album title on three lines but have differences in the position of the text compared to Gerd Rundel's promo release (variant 2).
Manuel García Jara has a copy with a gold embossed
stamp on the rear sleeve "For Governmental Sale Only". The purpose of this
is unclear, but this copy was probably for sale on US military bases in the
USA and abroad. I have details of a copy of Blood On the Tracks with
the same stamp. Thanks to
Éamonn Ó Catháin for finding
a copy on eBay with a rear sticker from the US Navy, saying that the album
is only for sale on Navy ships afloat - this was because the price did
not include sales tax. I also have a picture of a 1971-72 release of
Bringing It All Back Home with the same sticker.
Columbia PG 31120 (USA), mid-1970s, re-released
late 1970s and mid/late 1980s:
Columbia PG 31120 (USA) - detail of rear, scan by
Gerd Rundel (mid-1970s/late 1970s releases)
The sleeve has no barcode on the rear, otherwise it looks the same as that of Jeremy Mayle's copy. The records of Gerd's mid-1970s copy have matrix numbers: Side 1 - P AL 31121-1AD ( all stamped), Side 2 - P BL-31121-1C (“P” handwritten, rest of matrix number is stamped), Side 3 - P AL-31122-1J (“P” handwritten, rest of matrix number is stamped), Side 4 - P BL-31122-1G (“P” handwritten, rest of matrix number is stamped).
Jeremy Mayle's late 1970s US copy also has "PG 31120" on the sleeve and labels.
The rear sleeve now has a barcode. missing from Gerd Rundel's mid-1970s copy.
The Sides 1 and 2 record
labels of
Jeremy Mayle's late 1970s copy have “C 31121” instead of “PC
31121”. This difference also exists on record 2 with “C 31122” instead of
“PC 31122”. Gerd has now supplied
scans of an identical late 1970s copy.
The record labels of this mid/late 1980s release have the inverted triangle on Sides 1 and 3 to the left of the centre hole introduced with Biograph in 1985. The gatefold sleeve is the same as already listed for the mid 1970s/late 1970s releases. The records of the copy shown have handwritten matrix numbers: Side 1 - AL 31121 G1A, Side 2 - <B-X> BL 31121 G1C, Side 3 - (F-MP) AL-31122-G1A, Side 4 - (T-D) BL-31122 G1B.
Thanks to Gerd Rundel, Steven Fant, Jeremy Mayle, Manuel García Jara, Renaud Depierreux, Peter Coulthard and Bruce Mulle for information and pictures.
"Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits Vol. II" - stereo reel-to-reel tape, Columbia GR 31120 (USA), 17 Nov 1971:
"Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits Vol. II" - 8-track stereo tape cartridge releases, Columbia PGA 31120 (USA)/Columbia House PGA 31120 (USA), 1971:
These releases of the 2LP set come on a single tape cartridge. The first copy of this 8-track stereo release has a dark grey tape cartridge with two paper labels. The second copy has the same dark grey cartridge, but this time with a single wrap-around label. The Columbia House record club release is still sealed, but the tape inside looks to be the same as the regular 8-track release. The slipcase has cut-outs front and back to show the artwork and tracklist.
The track running order has been rearranged to make the four programmes of approximately equal length:
Program 1: Watching the River Flow; Lay, Lady, Lay; Stuck Inside Of Mobile With The Memphis Blues Again; Just Like Tom Thumb's Blues
Program 2: All I Really Want To Do; My Back Pages; Maggie's Farm; She Belongs To Me; It's All Over Now, Baby Blue
Program 3: Don't Think Twice, It's All Right; Tonight I'll Be Staying Here With You; Tomorrow Is A Long Time (live); When I Paint My Masterpiece; I Shall Be Released; Down In The Flood
Program 4: I'll Be Your Baby Tonight; All Along The Watchtower; Quinn The Eskimo (live); A Hard Rain's Gonna Fall; If Not For You; You Ain't Goin' Nowhere
Thanks to Manuel García Jara for information and scans.
"Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits Vol. II" - single stereo cassette releases, Columbia GT 31120 (USA), early 1970s (two variants); Columbia PGT 31120 (USA), mid-1970s (three variants); Columbia CGT 31120 (USA), 1980s:
Columbia GT 31120 (USA), early 1970s (two variants):
Columbia GT 31120 (USA) - top of cassette, scan by Gerd
Rundel (early 1970s release variant 1 - "GT 31120" stamped)
Columbia GT 31120 (USA) - top of cassette, photocopy by Paul Shenton (early 1970s release
variant 2 - just "31120" stamped)
For some reason Paul Shenton's copy has a sticker with "CBS STEREO CASSETTE" covering the red/black text "DOUBLE TAPE VALUE SPECIALLY PRICED COLUMBIA STEREO CASSETTE" seen below on the insert for the 1975 release PGT 31120. The contemporary Columbia cassette releases on the front and reverse are the same as on the insert of Gerd Rundel's copy. On Side 1 of the cassette Stuck Inside Of Mobile With The Memphis Blues Again is now listed in full, again as for the 1975 release PGT 31120.
Columbia PGT 31120 (USA), mid-1970s (variants 1 & 2):
These mid-1970s PGT 31120 releases again have a folded card insert with updated details of other contemporary Columbia cassette releases on the inside. These cassettes all have Dolby noise reduction and on Side 1 of the cassettes Stuck Inside Of Mobile With The Memphis Blues Again is again listed in full.
Columbia PGT 31120 (USA) - end of cassette insert, scan by Steven Fant (mid-1970s release variant
1)
Variants 1 and 2 come with identical inserts, the cassettes listed on the inside of each insert include Hard Rain from 1976. The inside of the insert has Dolby information at bottom right, not "Printed in U.S.A.". The variant 1 cassette is light grey with off-white paper labels. This copy has a sticker on the end of the cassette case. The variant 2 cassette is blue with black text, there are no paper labels. "MADE IN USA" is embossed on Side 1 at top right. This copy does not have a sticker on the end of the cassette case.
Columbia PGT 31120 (USA), mid-1970s (variants 3 & 4):
Columbia CGT 31120 (USA), 1980s:

For other 1970s albums in the same AFRTS series with Bob Dylan on one side and different artists on the other, see below and International Albums (Various Artist Compilations) 1970s. The 1978 AFRTS single LP release of Bob Dylan At Budokan (RL 21-9/P-18371-72) is not listed there because all tracks on both sides are by Bob Dylan. For that see the Bob Dylan At Budokan page in this section. For a 1981 AFRTS album with Bob Dylan and Art Garfunkel, see International Albums (Various Artists Compilations) 1980-86. For an AFRTS single LP release of The Concert For Bangladesh by George Harrison and Friends (which was released before this one), see 1972.

"More Bob Dylan Greatest Hits" - stereo vinyl 2LP sets and 8-track tape/cassette releases, CBS S 67239 (UK/Ireland), Dec 1971, re-released mid-1970s, early 1980s, mid/late 1980s:
This double album which is now listed here has a slightly different tracklist on Side 2 of Record 2 from the US release of Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits Vol. 2. Positively 4th Street and New Morning are included instead of She Belongs To Me and It's All Over Now, Baby Blue, both of which had already appeared on the first UK Greatest Hits album, from which Positively 4th Street had been inexplicably omitted.
The album with the UK title and tracklist was also released in Ireland, Holland, Italy, Portugal and Yugoslavia (the Greek release had the UK catalogue number but the US tracklist). Although the UK 2LP set was also released on 8-track tape cartridge and compact cassette, no CD reissues with the UK tracklist have ever been released. The 1997 UK CD release had the UK title but the US tracklist (see below for full listing).

CBS S 67239 (Portugal) - front scan by Manuel García Jara |
These Portuguese albums are more releases of the 1971 UK More Bob Dylan Greatest Hits
album with the same title and catalogue number (see above - strictly
speaking they're versions of the Dutch mid-1970s release with the same front
design with the title in a blue circle). For full details, see
here. The mid-1970s and early 1980s releases have orange/yellow CBS labels and
the set
was re-released in the late 1980s with red CBS labels. Thanks to Manuel García Jara for information and scan. |
"Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits Vol. II" - stereo vinyl 2LP set, CBS S 67239 (Greece), 1971:
CBS S 67239 (Greece) - detail of rear, scan by Manuel García Jara
This compilation with the US tracklist was released only in two European countries: Spain and Greece, while in the rest of Europe it was released with the UK tracklist: UK, Ireland, Holland, Italy and Portugal. However, this Greek release surprisingly has the UK catalogue number, CBS S 62739! The Spanish release is CBS S 66287 (like in Israel). This 2LP set was made for Diski CBS Greece by "Music-box" of Athens and the gatefold sleeve was printed in Greece by Fotiadis & Ioannidis. In 1969 "Music-box" was described as "Exclusive Representative of CBS Records in Greece" (as here), by 1973 this had changed to "General Representative of CBS Records in Greece". This release has the usual gatefold sleeve, but it has no spine! Note the wrinkles caused when the gatefold was opened to be scanned. The outer sleeve has the front laminated but not the rear. The records have dark orange CBS labels and the copy shown has matrix numbers: Side 1 - AL 31121, Side 2 - BL 31121, Side 3 - AL 31122, Side 4 - BL 31122. The record labels have the logo of the Dutch copyright organisation B.I.E.M.
Thanks to Manuel García Jara for information and scans.
"Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits Vol. II" - stereo vinyl 2LP set, CBS (S) 66287 (Israel), 1971:
This set has the standard US tracklist. The gatefold sleeve is unusual because the inside photo is monochrome. Both the sleeve and the records were made in Israel. The catalogue number on the sleeve and spine is "S 66287", the same as the Spanish release below (the "S" is very hard to read on the front), but on the record labels it's just "66287". The records have orange CBS labels and stamped matrix numbers: Side 1 - P AL 31121-1AA, Side 2 - P BL 31121-1AA, Side 3 - P AL 31122-1L, Side 4 - P BL 31122-1B.

"Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits Vol. II" - promo and commercial stereo vinyl 2LP sets, CBS/Sony SONP 50450~51 (Japan), Nov 1971; CBS/Sony 40AP 282~3 (Japan), 1976-77; Sony Music SIJP 1077~78 (Japan), 23 Nov 2022:
CBS/Sony SONP 50450~51 (Japan), Nov 1971:
These Japanese releases have the same track list and artwork as the US release.
The first release, CBS/Sony SONP 50450-51, has a card orange and white side obi with black and white text, showing price ¥3,600. This price is also printed on the rear and inside left of the gatefold sleeve. This release had an four-page double-sided insert with lyrics in English and Japanese. When I Paint My Masterpiece on Side 4 is wrongly listed as "When I Paint My Masterpice" on the rear of the gatefold sleeve, but is correct on the inside of the sleeve, the insert and the Side 4 record label. The records have orange/cream CBS/Sony labels.
CBS/Sony 40AP 282~3 (Japan), 1976-77:
All three versions had an eight-page booklet. The records in the three versions have the same CBS/Sony record labels - black/white for the promo release and orange/cream for the commercial release. The records of the copy shown have stamped matrix numbers: Record 1 ~ Side 1 - 40 AP-282A2, Side 2 - 40 AP-282B2; Record 2 ~ Side 1 - 40 AP-283A2, Side 2 - 40 AP-283B3.
Sony Music SIJP 1077~78 (Japan), 23 Nov 2022:
Thanks to Sonny Boy McFitzson for news that Sony Music Japan released Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits Volume II on stereo vinyl on 23 Nov 2022. The album has a gatefold sleeve and the two LPs are in transparent blue vinyl, price ¥6,380 (tax included). The obi reproduces the original 1971 design. The set has a front sticker with information:

"Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits Vol. II" - stereo vinyl 2LP set, CBS S2BP-220085 (SBP-234052/SBP-234053) (Australia), 1971 (two releases), reissued mid-1970s, late 1970s:
CBS
S2BP-220085
(Australia) - detail of rear, scan by Lars M. Banke (all releases)
Early Australian release labels had the text "MADE IN AUSTRALIA BY A REGISTERED USER OF THE TRADE MARKS" without a CBS copyright. This is because up to 1977 all Australian records were manufactured by the Australian Record Company (Pty) Ltd. (A.R.C.) on behalf of CBS. A.R.C. changed its name to CBS Records Australia Limited on 17 Oct 1977, and after that date the longer bottom edge text includes the CBS copyright information. The longer copyright text round the bottom edge was used from 17 Oct 1977 onwards. (Stuart Moore says that the label change may not have occurred till late 1978 or early 1979, Bob Dylan At Budokan from 1978 still does not have a CBS copyright nor does Masterpieces, Slow Train Coming from 1979 does have the CBS copyright.)
The records of the mid-1970s release have orange/yellow new style CBS labels with the shorter copyright text. The mistakes from the first release are reinstated! On Side 1 Track 4 reverts to being listed as "Stuck Inside Of Memphis With Thee"! On Side 2 Tracks 2 and 3 again have no credits, and on Side 3 Track 2 again has no credits.
The records of the late 1970s release again have orange/yellow CBS labels, this time with the longer copyright text. The mistakes from the first release are repeated. On Side 1 Track 4 is yet again listed as "Stuck Inside Of Memphis With Thee". On Side 2 Tracks 2 and 3 still have no credits, and on Side 3 Track 2 still has no credits.
Thanks to Stuart Moore and Lars M. Banke for information and scans.
"Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits Vol. II" - stereo cassette releases, CBS 2PC 085 (Australia), 1970s:
All releases shown have the same insert, blank on the reverse. The cassettes have white paper labels with black text. The text layout of the second cassette is different in several respects: the album title is now listed at the top, "STEREO" is on the left above the CBS logo instead of the right below the side number, and the album title below the sprocket holes is in a much smaller type face with "VOLUME II" in upper case instead of "Volume 2" in lower case. This is now the same format as the labels of the first CBS Australia cassette release of Pat Garrett & Billy The Kid in 1973. The third cassette shown has the same insert and labels as the second cassette, but the cassette itself is white, not grey.
Thanks to Stuart Moore for information and scans.

"Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits Vol. II" - stereo vinyl 2LP sets, CBS C 31121-22 (Singapore/Malaysia), 1971; CBS/Sony C 31121-22 (Malaysia), 1972, 1974; CBS/Sony KG 31120 (Singapore/Malaysia), late 1970s:
CBS C 31121-22 (Singapore/Malaysia), 1971; CBS/Sony C 31121-22 (Malaysia), 1972, 1974:
The records of the first releases of this set have red CBS labels with three CBS logos, and have stamped matrix numbers: Side 1 - AL-31121 F 613, Side 2 - BL-31121 F 685 (should be 614?), Side 3 - AL-31122 F 615, Side 4 - BL-31122 F 616. There is no country of origin on the record labels or the sleeve. There are significant two differences between the two variants of labels with three CBS logos shown - the first variant has the album title on two lines and a catalogue number of "KG 31120" with "C 31121/2" underneath, the second variant has the album title on one line and a catalogue number of "C 31121/2" with "KG 31120" underneath.
The second release has CBS/Sony labels on the records that were printed in Malaysia and are dated 1972. The eBay copy shown found by Gerd Rundel is a mixture of both releases, having record 1 with CBS/Sony labels printed in Malaysia, and record 2 with the CBS labels variant 2 and no country of origin. Scans of the missing record labels required!

"Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits Vol. II" - stereo vinyl 2LP set, CBS ASFT.1644/5 (South Africa), 1971, re-released mid-1970s (twice), late 1970s:
CBS ASFT.1644/5 (South Africa), 1971, re-released mid-1970s (twice), orange record labels:
The records of the 1971 copy shown have matrix numbers: Side 1 - ASF 1644- AL-31121, Side 2 - ASF 1644- BL-31121, Side 3 - ASF 1645- AL-31122, Side 4 - ASF 1645- BL-31122. These numbers start with "ASF" whereas the Rhodesian matrix numbers below start with "ASFT" as the catalogue number.
The mid-1970s release again has the same sleeve as the 1971 release. This is a second edition of this album and the records again have plain orange CBS labels. The gatefold sleeve is identical to that of the first and third editions. The record labels have noticeable differences: see the album title is "BOB DYLAN'S GREATEST HITS" instead of "BOB DYLAN'S Greatest Hits". The tracklist text on the Side 1 record label has a different distribution over the lines of the title Stuck Inside Of Mobile With The Memphis Blues Again from that of the first release. On the Side 2 record label the tracklist has five lines instead of four, but the text on the Sides 3 and 4 record labels are identical. The playing speed information ("33⅓") is different on the Side 3 record label than it is on the Sides 1, 2 and 4 record labels. The records of the first mid-1970s copy shown have matrix numbers: Side 1 - ASFT 1644-AL 31121-A, Side 2 - ASFT 1644-BL 31121-B, Side 3 - ASFT 1645-AL 31122-A, Side 4 - ASFT 1645-BL 31122.
The records of the second mid-1970s copy shown have matrix numbers: Side 1 - ASFT 1644-5 AL B11 ZI, Side 2 - ASFT 1644-5 BL B11 ZI, Side 3 - ASFT 1644-5 AL B11 ZZ, Side 4 - ASFT 1644-5 BL B11 ZZ.
CBS ASFT.1644/5 (South Africa), late 1970s, orange/yellow record labels:
The late 1970s release again has the same sleeve as the 1971 release. The records were made by The Gramophone Record Company (Pty) Ltd. (part of EMI) and the sleeve was again printed by Interpak. The records have orange/yellow CBS labels (not introduced into South Africa until Street-Legal in 1978) similar in design to the mid-1970s record labels, although the playing speed is now missing. The records of the copy shown has matrix numbers: Side 1 - ASF 1644-AL 31121, Side 2 - ASFT 1644-5-BL 31121, Side 3 - ASFT 1644-5-AL 31122, Side 4 - ASFT 1644/5-BL 31122-1 (starting with "ASFT" this time).

CBS ASFT.1644/5 (Rhodesia), late 1970s:

Even though the 1970 Spanish release of Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits had the 1967 UK tracklist (see here), this 2LP release had the US tracklist, so Positively 4th Street was missing from both albums. It has the US title on the front of the gatefold sleeve, but the Spanish title Grandes Exitos Vol. II on the spine. The gatefold sleeve was printed by Offset ALG of Madrid. The Discos CBS address is Calle Princesa 1, Madrid-13. The records were made in Spain by COFASA of Madrid for Discos CBS S.A. The inside of the gatefold sleeve has song titles in English and credits in Spanish. The records have orange CBS labels with song titles in English. CBS S 66287 (Spain), 1972 release (CBS):
The next Spanish release of this album was later in 1972. The sleeve was identical, but this time the records were made by CBS. The records have CBS orange labels, but with a different text layout from the COFASA labels. The matrix numbers of the records of the copy shown are: Side 1- PBL 31121-1F, Side 2 - PAL 31121-1AA, Side 3 - PAL 31121-1J, Side 4 - PBL 31121-1AE.
CBS S 66287 (Spain), 1975 release:
The 1975 release had the same gatefold sleeve as the 1972 releases, this time with a pink sticker with black text "ALBUM 2 DISCOS PRECIO ESPECIAL [2 DISC ALBUM SPECIAL PRICE]". The 1975 records had orange/yellow CBS labels and were made by Discos CBS S.A. themselves. The 1975 records of the copy shown have stamped matrix numbers: Side 1 - PAL-31121-1H, Side 2 - PBL-31121-1F, Side 3 - PAL-31122-1L, Side 4 - PBL-31122-1AE.
CBS S 66287 (Spain), 1978 release:
The records again have orange/yellow CBS labels, but the labels of this copy are different - Sides 1 and 2 have the same labels as the 1975 release, while Sides 3 and 4 have a different text layout. The Sides 1 and 2 labels have text on three lines to the left of the centre hole, while the Sides 3 and 4 labels have text on four lines. Manuel thinks, as for the 1978 Spanish release of Self Portrait, CBS used sleeves and record 1s from stock and just ordered new copies of record 2! The 1978 records of the copy shown have stamped matrix numbers: Side 1 - PAL-31121-1H, Side 2 - PBL-31121-1F, Side 3 - PAL-31122-1L, Side 4 - 65287-10.
CBS S 66287 (Spain), 1980 release:
The 1980 labels have reverted to the 1975 orange/yellow design! (The same situation occurs with the 1980 Spanish release of Self Portrait.) The records of the copy shown have stamped matrix numbers: Side 1 - 66287-1-A0, Side 2 - 66287-1-B0, Side 3 - 66287-C0, Side 4 - 65287-D.

"Grandes Exitos Vol. II [Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits Vol. II]" - stereo cassette releases, CBS 40-66287 (Spain), 1976 (twice):
The second release cassette inserts were printed by Indugraf of Madrid and have the new Discos CBS address of Avenida del Generalísimo 25, Madrid-16. The inside inserts of the second 1976 release are different from the first in that "OTROS CASSETTES CBS" has changed to "OTRAS CASSETTES CBS" and Desire is listed in the second column (it's missing from the list on the first release inserts).
The cassettes were identical for both releases and have white cases with orange CBS paper labels with titles in English.

"More Bob Dylan Greatest Hits" - stereo 2 cassette release, RTVL-CBS KL-1936 (Yugoslavia), 1990s:
Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits and Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits 2, the 1966 and 1967 Dutch compilations, were the only Dylan compilations released as vinyl LPs in the former Yugoslavia (both in 1982, see International Mono Releases - Dylan-Only Compilations 1960s). However, the worldwide compilations Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits and Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits Vol. II/More Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits, although never released there in vinyl, were released in Yugoslavia in tape format only. Manuel García Jara believes that these two compilations were the last Dylan albums ever released in the former Yugoslavia, in the early 1990s, only some months before the war. Both compilations were manufactured in what is now Slovenia by Radio TeleVisje Ljubljana (same as Under The Red Sky, RTVL-CBS KL 1958) and both have the European front but the US tracklist. Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits was RTVL-CBS KL-1936. This second volume (RTVL-CBS KL-1936) has the Dutch front with the title inside a blue circle. it comes on two cassettes, not one as many other worldwide releases, in a larger black plastic case that holds both cassettes.

"Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits Vol. II" - 2CD set releases, Columbia C2K 31120 (USA/Canada), (late 1980s?/early 1990s?):
These original CD releases were sold in the USA and Canada. The first release comes in a double-width jewel case, the later release comes in a single-width jewel case. The first release has a folded insert which becomes the front insert for the second release. The rear inserts of both look the same, with just a tracklisting. Thanks to Paul Shenton for noticing that Stuck Inside Of Mobile With The Memphis Blues Again is listed as just "Stuck Inside Of Mobile With The Memphis Blues" on the rear insert and the reverse of the front insert, but is correct on CD1 of both releases. Both releases have silver CDs with black text and differences as shown.
