Various Artists - CD release, "Bakhålls Litterära Ljud Vol. 1 [The Ambush's Literary Sounds Vol. 1]", BAKCD 0857 (Sweden), 2008:
This was a compilation CD in a folded card sleeve with a booklet included with an issue of the literary magazine "Bakhåll" (The Ambush), but which was also sold separately in some record and book stores in Sweden. Dylan is interviewed by Oscar Brand (approx. 9 mins) and performs two songs. He was apparently at the time preparing for a concert at Carnegie Chapter Hall in New York on November 4 that year, 1961. All the other tracks on the CD are of authors reading from their works - they include Guillaume Apollinaire, Leo Tolstoy, Hermann Hesse and Jorge Luis Borges.

"The Bootleg Series Vol. 8 - Tell Tale Signs: Rare And Unreleased 1989-2006" - 3CD-R/CD promo sets: Sony Music SDCI 80657-9 (Japan), Aug/Sep 2008:

Sony Music SDCI 80657 (Japan) - detail of promo CD-R1, scan by Wil Gielen (first copy)
The first promo 3CD-R set comes in jewel cases with folded front inserts dated "2008/08/11" (11 Aug 2008), there are no rear inserts. The CD-Rs are blank and just have handwritten information round the clear centres. The title is misspelled "Tell Tale Sings" on the inserts and all three discs! This set was intended solely for internal use within Sony Music Japan and only a few copies were produced. The second promo 3CD set also comes in jewel cases, this time without any inserts. The title is again misspelled "Tell Tale Sings" on all three discs. It was accompanied by an 11-page press kit in English and Japanese on pink paper. This gets the album title correct! The existence of these sets is surprising since the 3CD Deluxe Expanded Edition was not eventually released in Japan, although it was given a catalogue number of Sony Music SICP 1990-92 and a release date of 22 Oct 2008. There is also a 2CD promo set of the edition that was released with just discs SDCI 80657 and SDCI 80658.

Thanks to Hervé from France and Wil Gielen for information and pictures.
