There's no specific qualification for inclusion other than I have the item or it's been notified to me by a contributor as being worthy of inclusion. This is not intended to be a comprehensive section on Dylan Covers. The late Dave Plentus' excellent Dylan Cover Albums site is now kept alive on Expecting Rain by Karl-Erik Anderson here and these pages are not intended to match or replace it. This page includes notable instrumental cover albums contributed by Dylan collectors. The other Honourable Mentions pages are listed below.

This release was the first instrumental-only album of Bob Dylan songs.
It was released by Epic in the USA and Columbia/Epic in the UK (the EMI
Columbia label, not the US label). A stereo jukebox EP (or "Little LP") was also released in the USA with six tracks from the album, and there was an Epic 7" mono single release in Italy. These items with covers of Blowin' In The Wind are now here. Also shown is a 1965 mono 7" UK single, on the EMI Columbia label, of two tracks from the album, Mr. Tambourine Man and With God On Our Side. The Gene Norman Group included the legendary drummer Hal Blaine and Glen Campbell on guitar, soon to become much more famous as a singer. The album was originally released on vinyl in 1966, and also released in the UK by Vocalion, and in France and West Germany by Disques Vogue. It was re-released on CD in the USA in 2009 with the same catalogue number as the original 1966 LP. This 1966 album by jazz percussionist Gary Burton is noteworthy because it was recorded in Nashville, TN, with country musicians such as Chet Atkins and three musicians who played in Nashville earlier in 1966 at the Blonde On Blonde sessions: Charlie McCoy, Henry Strzelecki and Kenny Buttrey. The album contains two instrumental covers of Blonde On Blonde songs - Just Like A Woman and I Want You. Charlie McCoy and Kenny Buttrey later joined the Nashville-based band Area Code 615 with other musicians who'd played on Blonde On Blonde and released more Dylan covers.

This 24-track single CD release contains two original 1965 instrumental albums: Duane A Go Go Go and Duane Eddy Does Bob Dylan (the stereo LP was originally Colpix SCP 494). The CD front insert is a single card. Of the twelve tracks on the Dylan covers LP, seven are by Bob, plus the traditional House Of The Risin' Sun.

This 2001 Dutch album of jazz instrumentals by multi-instrumentalist Michael Moore with Lindsey Horner (bass) and Michael Vatcher (percussion) includes covers of ten Dylan songs plus Two Soldiers, the traditional song covered by Bob on 1993's World Gone Wrong. It was also released in Japan in 2003 with a different front sleeve. |

This release comes with a Japanese-style obi. Two of the eight tracks have vocals (Ballad Of A Thin Man and Living The Blues), the other six are instrumentals. Jamie Saft is a US jazz musician with many releases to his credit. Tzadik is a New York-based record label specialising in Jewish music.
