There must be hundreds of these albums from round the world! If you have any entries to add to the list or additions/corrections to existing entries, please let me know!

Please note I cannot value your Dylan rarities - see the Mission page for reasons why. Contact the dealers on my Trading page for assistance!

This is a separate multi-year list by release date of commercially-released Various Artist stereo compilation albums released in 1998 that have been referred to me but do not qualify for my Searching For A Gem list because they contain only Bob Dylan performances which are available on officially released Dylan albums. Nevertheless, their interest value or scarcity means they're worth listing here - as far as I know some are not included on any other Internet site. Promo-only Various Artist compilation albums with Dylan tracks and Radio Station Albums are included here also. Other International Albums and Compilations are now here:

This CD of baseball-related songs compiled by Jeff Campbell was released by charity Hungry For Music to benefit the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum and the Jackie Robinson Foundation. Bob's contribution is Catfish, the 1975 out-take from Desire released in 1991 on The Genuine Bootleg Series Vols. 1-3. This track was wrongly listed as a longer edit and therefore a rarity, but it is exactly the same length as on that album, at 2:48.

According to www.amazon.com this CD was re-released on 28 Mar 2000 as Diamond Cuts Vol. 1: Play Ball. ("Play Ball" is the text on the reverse of the rear insert.) There are now seven compilation CDs in the Diamond Cuts series, but none of the subsequent releases feature Bob. For a 2005 4CD set with Catfish entitled The Great American Baseball Set, see the page in this list covering 2005.

Thanks to Freddy Ordoñez Araque for pointing out this set and to Hans Seegers for scans.

Although the German CD release below was exported to the UK, the UK had its own release of this album with a different long folded front insert. This CD was bought in UK at the time and, although "Made in UK" is not found anywhere, the CD itself has the UK copyright "MCPS" logo (Mechanical Copyright Protection Society, the former "MECOLICO").

Mercury 536 903-2 (Germany) - CD release, 1998:

Mercury 536 903-2 (Germany) - front scan by Hans Seegers

This CD release again has different artwork, similar to that of the 1998 German LP release below. The German CD release was exported to the UK and Holland.

Mercury 536 903-2 (France) - CD release, 1998:

Mercury 536 903-2 (France) - front scan by Manuel García Jara
This CD was bought in France some years after the premiere of this movie. The artwork is similar to that of the German CD above, but the disc itself is very different. Although the CD has "Made in USA" as shown, the picture disc design is different from the US CD shown above. The reverse of the rear insert (the bowling ball picture) is in red instead of monochrome as on the US and Canadian releases above.

This release was made in South Africa by C.D.T. It has the same front picture as the German and French CD releases above, while the CD design is similar to that of the US CD. The bowling ball on the reverse of the rear inset is again in red.
