There must be hundreds of these albums from round the world! If you have any entries to add to the list or additions/corrections to existing entries, please let me know!
Please note I cannot value your Dylan rarities - see the Mission page for reasons why. Contact the dealers on my Trading page for assistance!
This is a separate multi-year list by release date of commercially-released Various Artist stereo compilation albums released in 1994 that have been referred to me but do not qualify for my Searching For A Gem list because they contain only Bob Dylan performances which are available on officially released Dylan albums. Nevertheless, their interest value or scarcity means they're worth listing here - as far as I know some are not included on any other Internet site. Promo-only Various Artist compilation albums with Dylan tracks and Radio Station Albums are included here also. Other International Albums and Compilations are now here:
Revised 16 September, 2024.

Various Artists - "Woodstock '94 Minutes" - radio station discs (6CD), MediaAmerica Inc/Neer Perfect Productions (catalogue number?) (USA), Jun/Jul 1994:
The first of these radio station discs has a cue sheet dated 27 Jun 1994, and the broadcast dates on the other sheets and all three CDs are for July 1994, so these programmes were aired before the 1994 Woodstock Festival took place. This explains why they contain excerpts of Dylan album tracks and previous interviews. CDs 1, 5 and 6 had no Dylan content.
CD2 (week of 10 Jul 1994) includes excerpts of Like A Rolling Stone from Highway 61 Revisited and Positively 4th Street from Greatest Hits. It also includes an interview with Bob about performing on stage.
CD3 (week of 17 Jul 1994) includes excerpts of I Want You from Blonde on Blonde and Positively 4th Street from Greatest Hits. It also includes an Interview with Bob.
CD4 (week of 24 Jul 1994) includes excerpts of I Want You and Rainy Day Women #12 & 35 from Blonde on Blonde. This disc does not include an interview with Bob, but does include interviews with Steve Cropper and George Harrison talking about Bob.
Thanks to Jack from Canada for information and scans.
Various Artists - "Woodstock '94: The Road To Saugerties" - radio station discs (6CD), MediaAmerica Inc/Neer Perfect Productions (catalogue number?) (USA), 5-7 Aug 1994:
Certificate of Performance scan by T. J. Jenkins |
This second set of radio station discs has cue sheets dated
5-7 Aug 1994, so these programmes were
again aired before the 1994 Woodstock Festival took place. CD3, track 3,
contains My Back Pages and a 20 sec excerpt of Knockin' on Heaven's Door, both
live performances from The 30th Anniversary Concert Celebration. CDs 1 and
2 had no Dylan
content. Because the excerpt of Knockin' on Heaven's Door is a rarity, full
details are in
1994. The CDs are in clear plastic wallets, which may not be original. They are accompanied by a Certificate of Performance and four pages of cue sheets. Cue sheet 4 lists My Back Pages but not Knockin' On Heaven's Door. |

Various Artists - "25th Anniversary Woodstock Special - A Retrospective With Dennis Hopper" - 3 radio broadcast CDs, Westwood One shows 94-33 (USA), broadcast 8-14 Aug 1994:
Cue sheet 1 - scan by Hans Seegers |
This retrospective programme does not use live performances from
Woodstock 1969 but studio tracks recorded by the appearing artists. The
Dylan contribution is You Ain't Goin' Nowhere, the version with The Band
from The Basement Tapes (which was of course recorded at Woodstock). This set appears to be a 3CD version of the
5CD set above with the same show number, 94-33, that contains three Dylan
rarities, see
1994. Bob did not of course appear at Woodstock 1969! Thanks to Gil Walker for originally finding this on eBay and to Hans Seegers for further information and scans. |

Bob's contribution to this promo compilation is Knockin' On Heaven's
Door, originally from 1973's Pat Garrett & Billy The Kid, this time
actually taken from the 1994 compilation Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits Vol. 3,
specifically the Japanese release, Sony Records SRCS 7531. There is a 4-page
front insert. The cover picture shows Mariah Carey, Clémentine
and Jeff Buckley. For other 1990s promotional albums in this series with Dylan album tracks, see below and various pages in International Album Releases (Various Artist Compilations) 1990s. Sony Music XDCS 93165 (Japan) - front scan by Wil Gielen |
Bob's contribution to this promo compilation is Dignity, the 1989
out-take from Oh Mercy remixed by Brendan O'Brien, from the 1994 compilation
Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits Vol. 3, specifically the Japanese release,
Sony Records SRCS 7531. However, it appears here as the 4:38 radio edit, not
the full album track at 6:00. Because this is a rarity, full details are in 1994. For another promo album in this series, see above. |
