This is a separate multi-year list by release date of commercially-released Various Artist stereo compilation albums released in 2021 that have been referred to me but do not qualify for my Searching For A Gem list because they contain only Bob Dylan performances which are available on officially released Dylan albums. Nevertheless, their interest value or scarcity means they're worth listing here - as far as I know some are not included on any other Internet site. Promo-only Various Artist compilation albums with Dylan tracks are now included in this list. Other International Albums and Compilations are now here:

Thanks to Jacques Colinet for information that the June 2021 issue of the UK music magazine "Uncut", on sale 15 Apr 2021, will include a cover CD called Dylan ...Revisited celebrating Bob's 80th birthday with fourteen newly recorded Dylan songs by artists such as Richard Thompson and The Flaming Lips, all exclusive to this CD. The highlight will be a previously unreleased Dylan performance, Too Late (Acoustic Version) from the forthcoming Bootleg Series 16 release covering the Infidels sessions. Thanks to Derek Barker of "Isis" magazine for reminding me that "Too Late" was the working title of Foot Of Pride. The song is very different from Foot Of Pride, but does contain some of the same lyrics. According to Michael Krogsgaard's recording sessions articles this performance is likely to be from The Power Station, New York, 23 Apr 1983, where it was listed as "Too Late" on the session sheets as on 22 Apr 1983. Takes 8-12 on 23 Apr 1983 were labelled "acoustic", two of which were marked complete. |

Peter Coulthard confirms the version included on this Uncut CD (4:00) was edited specifically for this CD. The acoustic version included on The Bootleg Series Vol. 16 - Springtime In New York 1980-1985 is 5:50 in length and has an additional couple of verses but no refrain after the fourth verse. The refrain after the third verse has been copied and then pasted after the fourth verse. This entry is therefore included in 2021. Both the acoustic and band versions are included on the 5CD The Bootleg Series Vol. 16 - Springtime In New York 1980-1985 Deluxe Edition but only the band version is on the 2CD set.

Compilations with Out of Copyright Tracks
Sony let the copyright to the 1962 releases of Bob Dylan and Bob's first single Mixed Up Confusion expire in 2012. This has led to many budget record labels releasing unauthorised editions of Bob Dylan or including tracks from the album on compilations without authorisation. These are now listed separately from the other Various Artists Compilations. Sony has of course rectified this situation by renewing the copyrights of the albums from The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan onwards, and with the limited edition 50th Anniversary Collection releases from 1962 onwards.

collection of ten vinyl compilations in association with Wagram Music. Bob
appears on the Folk album
with Song To Woody from Bob Dylan, now out of copyright. (Wagram Music
have in the past released an unauthorised edition of Bob Dylan.) The
front picture is the anachronistic 1965 photo of Bob from The Bootleg Series Vols. 1-3.
Other albums in this series include Rock 'N' Roll, Hard Rock
