The Bootleg Series Vol. 14 - More Blood, More Tracks
(2018)

This page is part of a list of original releases by release date of international commercially-released regular stereo Dylan albums. They do not contain rarities or obscurities and are not eligible for the Searching For A Gem list. Nevertheless, their interest value or scarcity means they're worth listing here - as far as I know some are not included on any other Internet site. Promo releases of regular albums are now listed here and no longer in the former yearly Promo sections.

If you have any entries to add to the list or additions/corrections to existing entries, please let me know! Please note I cannot value your Dylan rarities - see the Mission page for reasons why. Contact the dealers on my Trading page for assistance!

I Pity The Poor Immigrant (Take 4) (CD1, track 6) was available to listen to on the bobdylan.com web-site. The December issue of the UK music magazine "Uncut" includes a feature article about The Bootleg Series Vol. 15 - Travelin' Thru 1967-1969 together with a cover CD including Drifter's Escape (Take 1) (CD1, track 1). The November issue of the German music magazine "Rolling Stone" includes an exclusive stereo 7" single with two tracks from The Bootleg Series Vol. 15 - Travelin' Thru 1967-1969. These are Tell Me That It Isn't True (Take 2) and Big River (Take 1) with Johnny Cash (CD2, track 11).
There is also a promo 15-track sampler, but I believe it is available as a download only, there is no physical CD. This year there is no single CD commercial release. For the tracklist, see below.

The picture on the right of Bob with Earl Scruggs was found by Sonny Boy McFitzson.

This tumbler was given away with copies of The Bootleg Series Vol. 15 - Travelin' Thru 1967-1969 sold on bobdylan.com. All it needs now is to be filled with Heaven's Door whiskey!

R-0074 Nashville Skyline Rag - Earl Scruggs on banjo and Bob on guitar, from the Columbia album Earl Scruggs Performing With His Family & Friends, 1971 (CD3, track 16)

The video versions of the above performance remain rarities as do the following rarities.

R-0606 I Threw It All Away - alternate take to the version on Nashville Skyline, from the Sony Music Bob Dylan Custom Mix CD web-site, Apr 2003, see Online Performances (Other). Wrongly described as a 1969 studio outtake from the Nashville Skyline sessions, this was actually recorded with George Harrison during the New Morning sessions at Columbia Studios, New York, 1 May 1970, and remains a rarity.

R-0069 A Thousand Miles Behind [One Too Many Mornings] - Bob and Johnny duetting in the film and video Johnny Cash: The Man ● His World ● His Music, 1969 (see VHS & DVD 1960s)
Jack from Canada says this is not the same take as the one on CD2, track 3, which is indeed not listed as having been previously released!  Thanks to Michel Pomarede for identifying this take as Take 2 from 17 Feb 1969. This has now been released in Dec 2019 on
50th Anniversary Collection 1969, a very limited 2CD set, so R-0069 remains a rarity.

Thanks to Michael Gray, Harold Lepidus, Harald Sigvartsen, and Jack from Canada for information.

The Orange/brown text on the front of the obi says "Hey, Bob! Hi, Johnny! We're halfway there." The blue text on the back of the obi is a short edit of Ben Rollin's introduction. The Japanese booklet has complete translations of English booklet, summarised chronicles 1967-70 by Heckel Sugano (based on Olof's Chronology), detailed track by track commentaries by Kenta Hagiwara, full English and Japanese lyrics.

Sony Music SICP 31341~3 (Japan) - Tower Records Japan postcard, scan by Sonny Boy McFitzson

Three postcards were given away with the Japanese release of the album. The Tower Records postcard is from page 79 of the "Time Passes Slowly" book with The Bootleg Series Vol. 10 - Another Self Portrait (1969-1971), taken at the Johnny Cash Show, Ryman Auditorium, Nashvill||e, TN, 1 May 1969. The HMV postcard comes from page 71 of the same book and was presumably taken during the John Wesley Harding or Nashville Skyline sessions. The third postcard (not shown) comes from other participating Japanese record stores and has the same picture as on the front of the album. All three photos were taken by Al Clayton.
